Magic and Mayhem Rankings:
GM – same as the Officers, but also gets to deal with the major issues.
Officers – the go to people of the guild with regards to admin, recruiting, public and member relations, etc. Members have questions? Non-members asking about recruitment? Website Issues? These are the people to talk to. Can withdraw from the guild bank so they are responsible for raid prep with regards to consumables (pots, flasks, elixirs, enchants, etc)
Officers Alts – Duh?
Main Raiders - Participates in no less than 75% of all 25 man raids (with a minimum of fifteen 25 man raids under their belts) First on the priority list when making up raid groups. Other criteria apply. (see below)
Raiders – Participates in no less than 50% of all 25 man raids (with a minimum of ten 25 man raids under their belts) Second on the priority list when making up raid groups. Other criteria apply. (see below)
Members – The catch all for members that don’t fall into the other categories. Can be the cheering section (members that don’t really raid, but still love M&M and want to be a part of the guild), can be the people who haven’t made it from new recruit to raider yet, etc. Third on the priority list when it comes to making up raid groups. Other criteria apply.(see below)
Alts – Name says it all
New Recruits – Been in the guild less than 30 days, but has some 25 man raiding restrictions (see below)
- Raid nights: Monday - Thursday
- Raid Times: 5:30 - 8:30 server (invites at 5:00) in certain situations, the raid end time could extend a little depending on how quickly we get started. The goal is to have 3 full hours in active raid time.
- Raid Priority: Officers/Main Raiders, Raiders, Members, New Recruits (in that order)
- Priority Cut-off: 12:00 MIDNIGHT server the day of the raid
How it works:
Raiding priority/guild ranks are based upon activity in progression raids, demonstrated skill at playing main class, gear level and willingness to go the extra mile during raids. We use a points system based upon the following criteria:
- Attendence
- Situational Awareness (For example, staying out of the ouch)
- Use of Consumables
- Knowledge of Fights
- Following Assignments
- Overall Performance (are your numbers on par with others of your class/raid roles)
- Spec/Gear/Gems/Enchants
- Attitude, both in and out of raids
Each criteria is given a 1-5 scale with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. Guildies that earn and maintain at least an average score of 24 will have the "Raider" rank. Those that earn and maintain at least an average score of 32 or above will have the "Main Raider" rank. Average scores are decided upon by the officer group as a whole. Past performance can and will be taken into account for some criteria.
Members that sign up prior to the cut-off time will be given priority for invites in the following order - Main Raiders/Officers, Raiders, Members/New Recruits. Once the cut off has passed, the priority resets to first come first serve within the correct raid group make up. The officer group also reserves the right to "cherry pick" from those that do not sign up prior to the cut-off. *Note* For some progression raids, it may be required that we modify the priorities in order to create a group optimal for achieving a kill. In those instances, the officers will make every effort to announce it prior to the raid, but that may not always be possible.
Anyone that signs up as "available" PRIOR to the cut-off time that does not make it into the raid will still be given attendence credit and participation DKP for the run provided that they:
- are of at least a Member rank at the time of the raid(officers can make exceptions for new recruits.)
- declare their intent to participate in the program by whispering either the GM or a Sr Officer prior to raid start time.
- are online at the time invites start and remain online for the duration of the raid (dc's obviously are the exception)
- are available to the raid at a moments notice whether it be having their toon parked outside while playing a known alt, doing dailies, doing BG's or Arena matches or working on professions. Anything except instances/dungeons.
The attendence does count towards the minimums needed for each rank so it benefits you to be available so that you can potentially earn a higher raiding priority. At this time, New Recruits are excluded from receiving this benefit but should they be invited into the raid, they will earn attendence and DKP. (The Officer group can choose to award attendence credit for sign ups under special circumstances.) In addition, any member that signs up for a raid then on the day of the raid requests "stand by" instead of participating will NOT be eligible for earning attendance credit and participation DKP.
For those that are cutting it close to our raid start times, please have your toon prepped the night before and ready for a summon the second that you log in. We cannot guarantee a raid spot everytime, but will do our best to try and accomodate your schedule.
No shows are going to be penalized 5 DKP points OR the amount of DKP points awarded to the raid that night, whichever is greater. Habitual offenders will be demoted and/or excluded from future raids.
